Md. Khademul Islam Chowdhury is a researcher with a strong focus on macroeconomic modelling, revenue forecasting, and tax policy formulation. His primary area of research involves life-cycle and overlapping generation models, with a particular emphasis on computational approaches to fiscal policy analysis.

As a PhD candidate in Economics at the Research School of Economics, The Australian National University, Mr Chowdhury explores computational macroeconomics and tax policy using advanced tools using MATLAB, Python, and FORTRAN, along with statistical analysis in STATA and R. His academic work bridges theoretical frameworks and practical applications, addressing key issues in taxation and revenue systems.

Complementing his research, he has extensive tutoring experience, sharing his expertise in economics, modeling, and policy analysis with students and peers. His academic pursuits are enriched by his professional background, including significant roles in the Ministry of Finance of the Government of Bangladesh and the National Board of Revenue (NBR), where he contributed to macroeconomic forecasting, fiscal policy development, and pioneering reforms in tax administration.
